9th Annual Gala

On Saturday, March 11th the JLSB hosted our 9th Annual Spring Gala – Old Spanish Nights – at the beautiful Coral Casino Four Seasons Biltmore Resort. We announced the 2017 Woman of the Year and unveiled our Signature Project – a multi-year initiative aimed at improving the lives of at-risk young women by educating & empowering them to reach their full potential while working to prevent exploitation and injustice in our community.

This year’s theme was chosen to honor the rich tradition of Fiesta and Old Spanish Days in our local community, which began in 1924, the same year that the Junior League of Santa Barbara was established. Our organization not only shares a birthday with this most special annual celebration, but we also share a passion for investing in and protecting this place we are lucky to call home.

Funds raised help further the mission of the League through membership training, programming and several volunteer projects that are directed by our focus area and other worthy initiatives to help us better the community.
